Task Force IV: Building Integrity

NATO – Ukraine Civic League was defined the leading non – governmental organization within the activity of this Task Force.

Task Force IV: Building Integrity aims to involve Ukraine’s civil society in building integrity, pursuing anti-corruption measures, enhancing transparency and fostering accountability across Ukraine’s security and defence sector.  The Task Force IV could develop a Code of Conduct or review an existing one, participate in the Building Integrity Pact, and facilitate improvement of governmental reporting in the form of the White Books.  The Task Force enjoys strong support of the United Kingdom.

Task Force IV on Building Integrity concentrates its activity at Defence and Security Sector and supplements the Initiative of Building Integrity in Defence sphere (Building Integrity in Defence Establishments) that unites the efforts and the experience of Transparency International, Geneva Center of arms control and NATO and not less the experience of such countries as Norway, Great Britain, Poland and Ukraine. The work of Building Integrity in Defence Establishments is focused on teaching representatives of Defence and Security Sector and making an appropriate manual. Task Force IV on Building Integrity that would include a range of non – governmental organizations of Ukraine and NATO member – states (Transparency International as well) could
supplement the work of this Initiative by means of realization some additional projects, for instance, by developing and improving a Code of Conduct, by participating in monitoring of states actions, by improving governmental reporting in the form of the White Books.
